Review of Discrete Fourier Transform During Dynamic Phasor Estimation and the Design of Synchrophasor Units

چکیده

In a large and complex interconnected power system, the measurement of synchronized bus voltage line current plays vital role in monitoring precise control various sophisticated electrical equipment for secure reliable operation. Phasor units (PMUs) are incorporated into wide area system to extract different signals phasors. this paper, capacity PMU phasor estimation algorithm is explored based on discrete Fourier transform (DFT) under sampling frequency rates during dynamic scenarios accordance with IEEE C37.118.1a-2014 standard. Furthermore, performance DFT varies according phase angle parameters such as frequency, ramp rates, modulation harmonic levels, step change, decaying dc, noise levels. The simulation results reveal that accuracy can be achieved at high rates. DFT-based compared Shank’s method (SEM) least-squares (LEM). presented best suited algorithms development better visualization smart electric grid.
